- Changing our language to provide less stigma and more caring.
- Continuation of efforts to modernize clinical trials to be more inclusive of women and minorities.
- Greater awareness of anal screening for cancer for people living with HIV.
- Increased urgency to fix health disparities as they relate to the HIV population.
- Awareness of the “Doxy-PEP” strategy to prevent sexually transmitted diseases.
- Cautions concerning COVID-19 and mpox
And, perhaps the biggest news in HIV treatment is the introduction of injectable medications as an option for those living with HIV.
